Scientific studies show that in the human body, water is stored on each of the cells. Here it can be in two ways. One is the ICF (intracellular fluid), which is the fluid present within the cells. The other one is the extracellular fluid (ECF), and that is the major fluid that would commonly be present outside the cell.

For men, the formula is –
2.447 – (0.09145 x age) + (0.1074 x height in centimeters) + (0.3362 x weight in kilograms) = total body water (TBW) in liters
But for the women, the formula is –
2.097 + (0.1069 x height in centimeters) + (0.2466 x weight in kilograms) = total body weight (TBW) in liters

Keep in mind that the ideal water percentage would vary. Most importantly, there are many factors involved. Body composition, age, and gender are some of the ones that can affect the percentage.
Generally, men have more body water percentage compared to women. The major reason for this is since women have more tissues compared to men.

IS IT GOOD TO DRINK A LOT OF WATER?
If you are healthy, there is no issue with drinking a lot of water. It is common for athletes to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration. This is after intense and long hardcore exercises.
Keep in mind that the percentage of water present in your body would change with age, weight gain and loss, daily water consumption, etc. So, as long as you make the water and fluid intake the major part of your day, you can have a great water percentage.
